“Embrace aging. It’s very simple. As you grow, you learn more. if you stayed at twenty-two, you’d always be as ignorant as you were at twenty-two. Aging is not just decay, you know. It’s growth. It’s more than the negative that you’re going to die, it’s also the positive that you understand you’re going to die, and that you live a better life because of it.”
Inspired by every student whose told they can’t be an artist because it doesn’t “make enough money”.
This is literally so inspirational to me right now.
I needed this really badly right now.
Money will not follow you to heaven. Your happiness will.
Why I bartend :)
This is relevant because after being a stay-at-home mom for 20 years my mom went back to school to get a job again, because that’s what was expected of her. After some medical complications she didn’t graduate… a year later, she’s just opened her own wool shop (relevant!) and I couldn’t be more proud of her. Doesn’t matter what age you figure out your dream, all that matters is that you go for it.
I had a guy look at me and say that I would never make it in this business because I didn’t have the drive for it. I’m not the most popular Youtuber, I’m not a famous director. I have never got first place in anything that I have ever done, ever. Ever! I’ve been arrested for filming twice. I’ve lived with $20 in my account, between jobs, and I could only eat once per day until I got my other job. [x]
